Hi there,
I'm looking for a 2 year old program to send my son to this fall. I can't really find much info on this place online so was wondering... Does anyone send their child there? Or does anyone have any info on the school? Right now, I'm interested in the school solely for the convenience factor -- we're getting ready to move .5 miles away and when the new school year starts, I'll have a 3 week old (in addition to my two year old). Obviously, in addition to the convenience, I'm hoping the school provides a safe, loving place for my little boy to socialize, play and learn. There are other schools we're looking at, but I need to decide if I want to send my son there fast as spots are filling up. And St. Pauls can't see me until next Thursday. So trying to figure out if its worth the wait and possibly passing up other programs. Would love any opinions and thoughts on the matter! Thanks. |
DD is in the 3 yr old room - been there since the infant room. We LOVE it! The 2yr old class is great - Ms. Yvonne, the head teacher, is fantastic. |
Yes I do have an opinion on St. Paul's. It's undergone some major changes and fallout. A chunk of parents and teachers have fled recently because of problems with church admin. If you're going to go there know that most of your tuition dollars go straight to church and pastor + wife and not to daycare experience, supplies, or teachers. That's the reason that the classrooms are so empty now, which is a shame. |
I am a new poster also looking for information on the two year old room. Any current parents out there? I've learned that there is a new director and that at least one of the teachers in this room is pretty new. I am also interested to hear more about what the previous poster said about the tuition not going towards the school and recent departures. Any specifics on how this has impacted the quality of care, etc.? Any information would be greatly appreciated as we are trying to decide between this and another center. |
I do not have a kid at this center, or know anybody who does, but I had visited this place when I was looking for daycare. Didn't like the feel of it too much..director said she was new (which has apparently been going on for a while), and kind of scattered.. kids seem to have fun. It seems a safe enough place, but didn't feel like there was much of structure.
Hope this helps. |
Does anyone have updates about St Paul's (infant room and 2-year old room)? I understand a new director begins January 2014. Do current parents think things improved since early 2013 (PP says many parents and teachers left)? |
The director this past year did a lot to improve the school, and we hope the next one will as well. The past year's director is retiring, so the change is not because of school personalities or anything.
We've had our children here and have been very happy with the care in the infant and 2's room. All of the teachers are friendly and caring with our kids. |
Hi there,
I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to see if there are any updated opinions on St Paul's daycare in SS? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. |
I'm the 12/20 poster, but we're still there! The new director is nice, and the school seems to be making more of an effort - more art to showcase, more family involvement. We're happy with the care, and would recommend it.
Do you have specific concerns/questions? |
What is the cost? I couldn't find the info on the website. |
March 2022- Any updates? I heard they might be reopening in April. Any idea of costs or how to contact them? |
Have they been closed all this time due to Covid?? Ouch, glad we did not end up there then. We toured a few years ago as it was close to my work and liked it but ended up at a daycare closer to home instead. |
I got an email back from this address stpaulumccdc@gmail.com sayin that the wait list is $150 and to call for more information. No info about price or when they are opening in the email but it did say to call.Haven't heard back yet. |
