Seriously. I listened to a bit of that and all I got is that he has no idea how tariffs work. Tariffs = higher prices so how is that helping with childcare problems?

Trump has never known what tariffs are and how they work. There are some policies that he lies about but I think this is genuinely one he doesn’t understand.

So he's super dumb and doesn't have a clue. But had the PDB for four years, knows a lot of angles that you've never heard of, had a federal workforce of over 2 million distilling info for him and has seen things that you never will.

But he's just doesn't understandand doesn't have a clue about tariffs (according to you).

So with all that stated, can you tell me why Canada just put a 100% tariff on Chinese made EVs, right AFTER the Biden Administration imposed a 100% tariff on Chinese made EVs???

Here ya go: https://www.freightwaves.com/news/canada-follows-us-imposes-100-tariff-on-chinese-made-electric-vehicles

None of that dispels what PP said, that Trump doesn’t understand what tariffs are and how they work. He plans them for every single import which is going to raise prices for every American consumer.

Yes, all of it dispels his view. PP just makes proclamations based on what they think the DCUM bubble wants to hear.

No it doesn't. Trump still thinks the tariffs magically get paid without an effect on US consumers. It raises prices of goods for US consumers. If Trump wants to go around and say he's imposing tariffs for political purposes (which is why Canada did it for Chinese made EVs), well, that's a different ball of wax, whether I agree with it or not.

+1

How can anyone, even a MAGAt, listen to that and think that Fat Felon should run anything, much less our country?

Ever hear the term "useful idiot"? That's what Trump is to these people.

Again, what the actual f* was that clusterf&ck of a word salad. Holy Mother of...

If you think listening to it was hard, here is for your reading pleasure!

This is an unedited transcript of his response:

Well, I would do that, and we're sitting down, and I was, somebody, we had Senator Marco Rubio, and my daughter Ivanka was so, uh, impactful on that issue. It's a very important issue. But I think when you talk about the kind of numbers that I'm talking about, that, because, look, child care is child care is. Couldn't, you know, there's something, you have to have it – in this country you have to have it.

But when you talk about those numbers compared to the kind of numbers that I'm talking about by taxing foreign nations at levels that they're not used to — but they'll get used to it very quickly – and it's not gonna stop them from doing business with us, but they'll have a very substantial tax when they send product into our country. Uh, those numbers are so much bigger than any numbers that we're talking about, including child care, that it's going to take care.

We're gonna have - I, I look forward to having no deficits within a fairly short period of time, coupled with, uh, the reductions that I told you about on waste and fraud and all of the other things that are going on in our country, because I have to stay with child care. I want to stay with child care, but those numbers are small relative to the kind of economic numbers that I'm talking about, including growth, but growth also headed up by what the plan is that I just, uh, that I just told you about.

We're gonna be taking in trillions of dollars, and as much as child care, uh, is talked about as being expensive, it's, relatively speaking, not very expensive compared to the kind of numbers we'll be taking in. We're going to make this into an incredible country that can afford to take care of its people, and then we'll worry about the rest of the world. Let's help other people, but we're going to take care of our country first. This is about America first. It's about Make America Great Again, we have to do it because right now we're a failing nation, so we'll take care of it. Thank you. Very good question. Thank you.

And here is the NYT reporting on this very same event. It’s actually nauseating.

The article was somewhat on target, but the headline writers - without fail - sanitize Trump’s madness and incoherence.

I'm getting tired of media not reporting on how demented Trump's speeches are right now.

Apparently he's giving another mush-brained rambling doozy again today. The man is too old and mentally feeble to be President.

Vote for the normie Democrat who will, at worst (assuming you don't like center-left policies), do normie Democrat things.

Yup. Totally at the top of his campaign game! So topical and salient. Really knows exactly what everyday Americans want to hear.

He also says— if you watch the whole clip “she would not be chosen”. And “when I am making out and kissing her…”

How presidential!

But Michelle showed her arms and Barack wore a tan suit!!! Horror!
