They are still subject to deportation.
And there is a law being enforced now, requiring all aliens to register with the government. Failure to register is a felony offense.

There is no such federal law. Immigration is a federal jurisdiction matter, not state.

That's a 14 point net swing for legalization since Trump took office.

TRUMP JOB APPROVAL

MOST URGENT ISSUE

Given a list of nine issues and asked which is the most urgent one facing the country today, preserving democracy in the United States (24 percent) ranks at the top, followed by the economy (19 percent), immigration (18 percent), and international conflicts (15 percent). In Quinnipiac University's polls on January 29 and March 13, the economy topped the list.

DEMOCRACY

Nearly half of voters (49 percent) think the system of democracy in the United States is not working, while 43 percent say it is working.
Among those voters who think the system of democracy in the United States is not working, 60 percent blame the Republicans, while 15 percent blame the Democrats. Twenty percent volunteered that they blame both the Republicans and the Democrats and 3 percent volunteered that they blame neither party.

REPUBLICAN TAX & SPENDING BILL

Seventy-one percent of voters say they have heard or read either a lot (36 percent) or some (35 percent) about the Republican tax and spending bill named One Big Beautiful Bill Act, while 28 percent say they have heard or read either not too much (12 percent) or not much at all (16 percent) about the bill.

Fifty-five percent oppose the bill, while 29 percent support it, with 16 percent not offering an opinion.

This compares to Quinnipiac University's June 11 poll, when 53 percent of voters opposed the bill, 27 percent supported it, and 20 percent did not offer an opinion.

Voters are split on one of the bill's measures that would require new qualifications to receive health insurance through Medicaid. The change would require able-bodied adults under 65 years old who are not disabled to prove they are working or volunteering at least 80 hours a month. Forty-seven percent of voters support the measure, while 46 percent oppose it.

5,597 criminal aliens arrested so far. Since fiscal year starting October 1 2024 a total of about 200,00 have been detained.

Crime of illegal entry or reentry- 3,241
DUI, traffic violations - 1,038
Drugs trafficking 609
Domestic Violence assault 443
Robbery, theft, fraud. 264
Homicide, manslaughter. 14
Sexual offense - 86
Weapons - 84

In 2024 the ATF initiated 24,208 firearms cases. 7,432 were prosecuted.
The majority (96%) of individuals sentenced for federal firearms offenses were United States citizens.


So no, we are not safer now that ICE is running around Home Depot. Construction sites, meat packing factories, farms and restaurant kitchens rounding up people at their jobs.

Many of those arrested have been previously arrested for other crimes. And others have been arrested for reentering after previous deportation.

They then they go and break another law.

You think DUI is no big deal??? Talk to some of the families whose lived ones have been killed by an illegal alien driving under the influence.

Who said that DUIs are not a big deal? There are about 1 million DUI cases per year. About 1,000 are committed by illegal immigrants. Do you think it might be a good idea to work on stopping American born citizens from driving drunk?

American born citizens are committing virtually all of the crimes. Bush Jr and Dick Cheney both convicted of DUIs. Matt Goetz DUI conviction didn’t stop Trump from trying to make him the Attorney General. Just an example of how we tend to ignore DUIs in important people.

We are not safer from drunk drivers because they are typically Americans. Politicians can take one horrific crime or DUI of an illegal immigrant and create a world where this is a common occurrence. It’s not. Why aren’t we focusing on the massive DUI problem Americans have?

Many of those arrested have been previously arrested for other crimes. And others have been arrested for reentering after previous deportation.

ICE arrested 11 Iranian illegal migrants in the U.S. since Sunday. A U.S. citizen who threatened to kill ICE law enforcement while harboring an illegal alien from Iran was also arrested, according to ICE.

According to an ICE release, some of the arrests include:

1) Ribvar Karimi arrested in Locust, Alabama. Karimi reportedly served as an Iranian Army sniper from 2018 to 2021. He entered the U.S. on a K-1 visa, which is reserved for aliens engaged to be married to American citizens, in October 2024 under the Biden administration. Karimi never adjusted his status and is now removable, according to ICE.

2) Behzad Sepehrian Bahary Nejad was arrested by ICE Houston. He had a final order of removal and was carrying a loaded 9mm pistol when he was arrested, according to ICE. Sepehrian entered the U.S. in Houston on Dec. 9, 2016, on an F-1 student visa. On Aug. 19, 2017, Harris County police arrested him for assaulting a family member by impeding breathing. His wife told the local assistant district attorney that Sepehrian was threatening her and obtained a restraining order against him. In 2018, the University of Texas terminated Sepehrian’s status after he was placed on academic suspension.

3) Also in Houston, ICE arrested Hamid Reza Bayat, an Iranian national who was ordered removed by an immigration judge nearly 20 years ago. According to ICE, h was twice convicted of drug crimes and once convicted of driving on a suspended license.

4) Yousef Mehridehno was arrested in Gluckstadt, Mississippi. The U.S. government terminated Mehridehno’s residency in 2017 after determining he lied on his original visa application and committed potential marriage fraud. In February, Mehridehno was listed as a known or suspected terrorist.

In Arizona, ICE agents arrested Mehrzad Asadi Eidivand, an Iranian citizen with a final order of removal. At the same home, Linet Vartaniann, a U.S. Citizen was arrested for harboring the illegal migrant. Vartaniann threatened to open fire on ICE officials if they entered her home, then said she would go outside and “shoot ICE officers in the head," according to ICEICE arrested 11 Iranian illegal migrants in the U.S. since Sunday. A U.S. citizen who threatened to kill ICE law enforcement while harboring an illegal alien from Iran was also arrested, according to ICE.
