Babbling? It's sharing information that may be common to other parents seeking clues. It must be happy hour at your place, 19:58 --why else would you be so hostile?

i didn't see it as hostile, i saw it as pointing out the fact that the poster hadn't paid attention to the requests of the original poster. perhaps the bitter, party of one could start their own thread entitled "angry with your letters? let's bash schools here!"

22:51: requests of original poster? Are you serious? this is not All Things Considered. "Babbling" is pretty hostile. If you're a Maret parent I'm glad we won't be in your company.

From a feeder school ie: NCRC, River??

To the PP:

Don't be so sure that the feeder schools are Willy Wonka's golden ticket. I've been through this process twice with two kids from one of the prestige preschools, and only ended up with one admit each time. Happily, it's a school with which we are happy, although we did look each time. School is competitive but not Big 3 (maybe a big 5-10).

wow, congratulations! Which school are you picking for your dd's?
All amazing choices, I would be torn...
Also with such consistent results, did you expect this? If so, how?
Or was there a specific feedback from ADs?

Your DDs Must be wonderful!

How do you know this? I've been seeing this a lot and wondering if it's an urban legend or there's some truth to those getting a handwritten note being on the "real" waitlist.

Have been on the Maret waitlist three times (for two kids), once with a note and twice without. I, too, wonder about urban legend. The letter with note came from one AD. Letters with no note came from another. In any case, our DCs never moved off the waitlists. I think very few who are lucky enough to get admitted turn down the opportunity. (And there aren't that many nonpriority spaces to begin with!)

7:47 Thanks for the kind words. I'm sure all of our kids are wonderful though.

I'm not really sure how this process works. We were hoping our DD would be accepted at a couple, but certainly did not expect to get all acceptances. We are a family with very clear ideas about education that coincided with the values of most of the schools. That may have helped.

Not sure where she will go - it is a very tough decision as they are all amazing schools. We are just very lucky to be in the position of having to make this difficult decision.

I am also curious which school does your DD come from? (by the way, she did post her SSAT scores - in high 90s which is amazingly high).

Any idea what the sibling numbers were for Beauvoir boys this year? Higher than usual? What are the feeder schools for Pre-K at Beauvoir besides NCRC?
