You guys, in all serious, keep me somewhat sane on holidays. I need DCUM to feel normal, whether hiding from my own family or my ILs.

Ha! This is a great idea, I should totally do this and keep you all posted this Xmas! I can imagine the look on my in-laws faces when presented when actual, real food! Last year I was treated with turkey deli meat sandwiches for lunch and dinner (only 2 slices of the special deli slice packages - which doesn’t even count as a full serving!).

It's crazy to see mom and dad on the Metro with a huuuge backpack of snacks, enough to feed a normal pre-K class, to take their 1-2 kids to a museum for the afternoon. It's all Goldfish, Capri Sun, etc. Then the kid shows the slightest sign of disinterest/tiredness and a snack is foisted onto him immediately. It's so bizarre to watch.
