Are there any millenials who think tattoos are trashy?

Tramp stamp. Yucko.

Not necessarily trashy but more like ugly. I never think they are a piece of area.

They will eventually fade and skin will sage and wrinkle. It’s just ugly.

I about tattoos but I keep it to myself because it's a very unpopular opinion. When I was single and dating tattoo-free was a top requirement. -millennial

I never liked tattoos, but when I found out that tattoo ink is completely unregulated and. no tattoo ink is FDA approved, I decided that people who get tattoos are not smart.

My favorites are “wellness” influencers who have mandala tattoos, feather tattoos, etcetera but say that they won’t eat normal things like Goldfish because they have artificial coloring. Girly, you INJECTED THAT IN YOUR SKIN. Eat up!

Very interesting. I did not know this. I’ve never liked them either. They are not pieces of art.

“FDA has not approved any inks for injection into your skin. FDA has not approved henna or hair dye for use on your skin.”

Yeah, stop worrying about the red dye, it’s being inject into your skin. You are already eating the red dye. Too funny.

I don’t think they are trashy but I don’t have one.

Nope. Don’t like them. I know many people who have them and they are not trashy people . Many coworkers have them (I’m a nurse ). To me they are just a little distracting from their natural beauty and take something away. But so common, see them everywhere. I always have been conservative in my appearance so just not my style. Nobody in my family or close friends have them.

I’m a millennial and tattoos are not my thing. I do think they definitely convey a certain type (or range of types) of style and those aren’t my style. Which is fine. They don’t bother me unless they are obscene or obscuring someone’s face.

I dislike them.

I don’t like them either. Most are pretty ugly but not my body.

Totally trashy and unprofessional!

Deep deep down, I do associate tattoos with trashy people. I grew up in a blue collar neighborhood, and most of the people who had visible tattoos when I was younger were hard partiers and bikers. They smoked, they drank, generally did not work respectable jobs, and did not seem to expect much from their kids (when they paid attention to them at all). The people with service backgrounds all fit in this bucket too.

I know plenty of perfectly normal and traditional family-minded people that have tattoos now, but the association between tattoo and white trash is forever burned in my mind. I just try to not think about it or judge because times certainly have changed.

Yes. I think most of my peers have tattoos but I do not. - Millennial

Elder millennial here with zero tattoos and zero piercings. My body is my temple.

IMHO, having a tattoo seem like attention-seeking.

Or perhaps designed to shock or show rebellion from societal norms.

Other people are free to do what they want. I just wonder why anyone would willingly do something that makes them look less attractive.
