Agree. And, for the complaints about it being "too close" to Oakton--what about Western being "too close" to Westfield.

So they took a vote and kept the ones they were planning on anyway. Some of those final list only got 1 vote. Just pick a name if that's what they were planning to do all along. This whole dog and pony show is infuriating and just a waste of time and effort.

They obviously don't want a geographic name.
I find the names like Discovery a little trendy and cumbersome. I guess i think of a football or basketball game--the cheers just don't sound right.

Skyview is a pretty name. I guess of the choices, I would go with that one. If the air theme is so important to them, that could work.
Western is fine, but too close to Westfield.

But, please no people. Why is that so significant to the staff? Things are discovered all the time about people that turn out to be negative in the future.

We need something unifying.

They just really, really want to name this stupid new school after an astronaut, but the vast majority of the community wants something with "west" in the name. Pick Western/West County/NorthWest and be done with it.
