| Tough to say. Most of our vacations for our family of 3 over the past 20 years have been in the few thousand dollar range at most. The most expensive was maybe $5k for a cruise we took. |
| Trip to Japan in 2024 for two people, 12 days, private guide and transportation for most of the trip, lots of “experiences” and business class tickets. Much, much more than we have spent on other trips but we were belatedly celebrating a significant milestone and decided to go big. |

Oops! Forgot to include price of 45k. |
Renting a villa with friends can be fun as well. But so can luxury trips with family (or friends). As long as you can afford it, why not? Planning a holiday trip to Europe, 2 weeks, airfare alone is over $20K, So with 2 hotel rooms for 14 nights, I'm guessing we will easily hit $35K+ for the trip. |
What made it so expensive? Wondering bc my West African friends always talk about how cheap it is to visit different African countries, including South Africa. Unfamiliar with Rwanda but thought it was still high conflict. What did your 2 week experience include at $25k/adult? |
| $25K in Tahiti for 2 weeks, 2 people. |
Not PP but that sounds right if it includes gorilla trekking for multiple days + Singita-level lodges. Permit for 1 person for a single day of trekking is something like $1500 now in Rwanda. Add in the Singita or O&O Gorilla’s Nest for $4-5K pp a night during high season and it adds up fast. If anything it should have been closer to $150K for 4 adults for 2 weeks. |
| 3 week honeymoon to Mauritius and South Africa. Worth it. And we did pay with points for some lodging. |
| 10 days in Hawaii for 4. 40k |
Bet it was Singita....if so, its worth it. |
