I’m not protesting. I’m hoping conservatives get what they voted for and feel the maximum pain of it all.

I’m off the meta social media. I even canceled Prime (which was my fave).

I’m researching university programs in Canada.

Let them get what they voted for. #fafo.

This is another word for word repeated post from earlier in the thread. Democrat bots are posting here.

I’m the poster and not a bot. Maybe there are actually two humans out there that think the same way.
Who are up at midnight worried that this country needs to learn a very expensive and painful lesson so they don’t vote for this jerks again.

Good news, Trump can’t run again lol.

I think we've seen that anything can change.

NO! Protesting is NOT useless! Peaceful protest is a fundamental right of Americans. I've lived all over the world and have experienced protests in a number of other democracies. That's what separates democracies from non-democracies.

Trump is flooding the zone with shit to frighten and intimidate non-MAGAs. He WANTS you to just give up. That is the whole point! Do not give away your first amendment rights. And, above all, VOTE in the mid-terms and in every local election you can.

Then go organize a protest if you feel so strongly! No one is stopping you -- but yourself. Because it's too much work. Much easier to complain on DCUM!!

OMG the world is ENDING because a REPUBLICAN (gasp!!) is the President!!

He's been prez before. The world did not end.

But they are off the rails this time.

They're getting (#*! done and I love it!

Haha. I said it before, they will feed you pure shit and you will gobble it up and be grateful.

dp but Yeah I am grateful. He's finally doing something for those in NC. What did Biden do?

You really want to sneeze at the $9 billion Biden secured for North Carolinans, on behalf of US taxpayers?

I’m sure you’re also happy that the felon said this morning he won’t help Californians, unless there are strings attached?

The suckiness of Americans still astonishes me, I confess.

They got $700. $700! Let that sink in. How far does that get you when you lose your home?

Sadly you too buy the drivel you are fed. This is not true. FEMA provided an emergency Serious Needs Assistance for $750 upfront and immediately. The amount you later receive is based on other factors and degree of loss.

Im not advocating for violence. But. Luigi had the right idea. Protesting doesn’t do shit. In fact, the George Floyd protests antagonized a large portion of Middle America.

Protest WHAT exactly, op?

Everything he has done so far was promised during the campaign and he won.

Let him do his thing as the majority of voters wanted.

Next election, protest with your vote.

On the bright side, he is old and unhealthy, so hopefully this will be his last term.

It will take years to undo a bunch of this stuff, but it is all cyclical.

You cannot tell a company to produce this product at this price in this quantity of this quality. It's a fallacy.

Your social engineering is the cause of many of the economic problems in this country. Stop trying to control everything. You're actually having the opposite effect of what you think you are.

A zillion times ^^^ THIS ^^^

Dems, liberals and progressives truly believe they’re the smartest people in the room - ANY room - and are embodying some divine right to manage everyone around them. They seem to have this bizarre sense of entitlement to treat everyone like their pet. Like the entire world is a SimCity or FarmVille game, and a perfect world can be created if we’d all just stop resisting them and do what they tell us to.

And they can’t see this. They don’t see how they look to everyone else. It’s maddening.
Why are you so insecure? Read your own words. You’re describing Maga. Nothing I say will matter to you, and vice versa. You voted and won in a peaceful transfer of power. It’s quite freeing since most of us prepared well in advance. Collectively, we’re ok. We will help those that won’t be ok in our Dem Sim Cities. Maybe put the torch down. Trump is in charge of burning it all down now.

Not about violence but you defend a cold blooded murdered? OK. And yeah, those blm riots are why things happened this way. Dems went way off the rails, too far to the left and lost the avg moderate voter.

Me too. I can’t figure out why I keep getting astonished when horrible people do and say horrible things, but I do….

I think you mean the MAGA-owned algorithms went off the rails.

We aren’t protesting because we are happy. Calm finally.

What is protesting going to do? change Speaker Johnson's mind? Leader Thune's mind? Elon's mind?

This is me exactly and how so many of my Democratic friends feel. We are wealthy enough that we'll benefit from his tax policies. The other asinine policies he puts in place won't harm us. If drug prices raise, eh, no biggie. I can afford it.

But you know who can't? My Maga relatives in WV who are poor. My Maga relatives who had to crowd-source funds to buy insulin in the past. My Maga relatives, who have believed the lies of and voted for every Republican since they were old enough to vote, who relied on me to pay for them to attend family vacations. My Maga relatives who post publicly about kicking everyone off government assistance while privately asking me for money to cover their rent, utilities, buy their kid's gifts, etc.

I did a lot and gave a lot leading up to the election. I campaigned non-stop for Harris. And frankly, I just don't care now. I'm exhausted. Trying to get them to see the error of their ways and proof of Trump's lies is like screaming at a brick wall. It's totally useless. So, let it all burn down. I'll get richer. They'll get poorer. Maybe they'll learn. Let's hope they learn. If not, I'll still be wealthy enough to where nothing the orange bozo does will hurt me.

But the Bank of Me is closed. I'll still send gifts to their kids on their birthdays, but that's it. I'm not paying their rents and mortgages. I'm not flying everyone for spring break and summer vacation. I'm done.

We don't need to protest but I do wish elected Dems were actually talking about the terrible things he's already doing. I understand that I feel beaten, beleaguered, and ready for people to simply experience the consequences of what they asked for. But I do think that elected Dems have SOME responsibility to, you know, communicate effectively.

I think the combo of him actually winning, winning the popular vote, and being forced to go through this all again, is just too much. I'm just hunkering down trying to survive and stay sane this time. I don't have it in me to do anything else.

Some Dems are but I agree they should be doing more of it. EVERY SINGLE DAY. T
