I would totally skip it. I have a junior and they don’t want to go. MCPS is embarrassing |
MCPS absolutely needs to build a venue to host graduations and dances. The amount spent renting facilities would easily cover it in just a few years. |
That’a absurd. Have you really thought about how big Montgomery county is and how many HSs there are? |
UMBC is pretty big and empty, but I guess that's because the graduation location is a basketball arena. |
Be happy you are almost done. It's not in your county but you are having a ceremony nonetheless. |
Why does it have to be indoors? Colleges have graduations outdoors all the time. |
And so have HS. Some are this year again having it outside at their own HS. Need Indoor because apparently district can't purchase enough tents for inclement weather. |
What about a rain date? My HS graduation was outside and it rained and we all survived. |
And you walked 5 miles to school each way every day too, right? |

No. Took a bus. Graduation is one day |
Not having graduation at your high school is really weird. If you want to build massive schools, have capacity at the football field for these type of events. |
It was working out fine for most HS who pivoted to football fields for the last two years. |
Football fields most expensive it seems. Not sure how though? |
HS is most logical. Livestream in this day and age for grandparents and other relatives. |
