I'm taking the Metro. I don't drive. |
They try to get a local place first. |
Most parks per capita in the country. Not good enough. Let’s kill all the business too.

A lot of that has to do with Rock Creek and the Mall. Both of which we are lucky to have. As someone that synpathizes with your argument please don't bring parks into this. The parks are an amazing part of what makes DC good. Open Streets is unfortunately performative and annoying. Takoma Park and Adams Morgan Days are great. That's the model they should be using. It has to be community not transitway centered to feel at all organic or fun. Right now Open Streets just feels pointless and artificial. |
If you don't like them, then you don't have to go to them. |
How many miles long were the traffic backups from the 12th street event? |
Ha! I live on one of the traffic detour streets and there was zero difference in traffic that afternoon. Can’t speak to the morning, because we were at open streets. |
You're seriously griping that a once a year event that you failed to plan for should be canceled because you can't look at a calendar? |
White people love banning people from driving near their homes |
Dude. EVERYONE wants to ban other people from driving near their homes. Nobody wants to be around other people's cars. |
Eh, I’d rather get rid of all these bike lanes that virtually no one uses. |
Oh, do you live immediately next to a big road with lots of cars and trucks all day and night? I'm guessing not. |
You should probably get your eyes checked. |
I use em all the time! |
yeah, we should have more open streets in ward 7 and 8 too. good idea. |
