Talking about schools based on sports conference in general is obnoxious. And the funniest thing is that many don't want the Ivy League schools to admit so many athletes. To a lesser extent people do it with the NESCAC too.

Many legitimately think Ivy or bust as if they are aiming for a particular low-level football conference! How many times have we heard about Duke not being an Ivy on this board?

You can delete Baylor, include Vanderbilt and Tulane, and add Davidson and W&L (even though SLACs) to round it out.

Agreed. Also, Brown is by far the most under appreciated Ivy. It has produced some of the brightest minds in the world. It has also been the go to Ivy for children of Hollywood royalty. (I know everybody says NYU is to go to for celebrities children but that’s not an Ivy)

If you are looking at US News "manipulation" along with school size and type, Tulane would be closest to the Chicago of the South!

I group Northeastern, Tulane, and Miami together as none of them has ever been ranked higher than 30, they aggressively use early decision, no application fees, and other tricks to juke their stats. But they are also popular schools.
