His verbal technique is called "weaving." And it's brilliant! All his English professor friends have said so! |
It's no wonder the wall that he built fell so quickly. They must've followed what he said, and that's what they got - something incoherent and that didn't work. |
I'm not sure even a 5th grader could understand that drivel. |
| His *economic* speech today is especially rambling and idiotic. He apparently really believes that foreign governments pay tariffs and now says the tariffs on foreign imports are going to bring in so much money that he can fund everything and still eliminate budget deficits. His combination of supreme arrogance and supreme ignorance is ten times more dangerous than just having one or the other. |
Seriously. I listened to a bit of that and all I got is that he has no idea how tariffs work. Tariffs = higher prices so how is that helping with childcare problems? |
Trump has never known what tariffs are and how they work. There are some policies that he lies about but I think this is genuinely one he doesn’t understand. |
| I was in the airport today and watched part of one of his rambling tirades on TV. He made zero sense. At this point, Harris’ best move might be to just televise him. |

So he's super dumb and doesn't have a clue. But had the PDB for four years, knows a lot of angles that you've never heard of, had a federal workforce of over 2 million distilling info for him and has seen things that you never will. But he's just doesn't understandand doesn't have a clue about tariffs (according to you). So with all that stated, can you tell me why Canada just put a 100% tariff on Chinese made EVs, right AFTER the Biden Administration imposed a 100% tariff on Chinese made EVs??? Here ya go: https://www.freightwaves.com/news/canada-follows-us-imposes-100-tariff-on-chinese-made-electric-vehicles |
None of that dispels what PP said, that Trump doesn’t understand what tariffs are and how they work. He plans them for every single import which is going to raise prices for every American consumer. |
Yes, all of it dispels his view. PP just makes proclamations based on what they think the DCUM bubble wants to hear. |

If you think listening to it was hard, here is for your reading pleasure! This is an unedited transcript of his response: Well, I would do that, and we're sitting down, and I was, somebody, we had Senator Marco Rubio, and my daughter Ivanka was so, uh, impactful on that issue. It's a very important issue. But I think when you talk about the kind of numbers that I'm talking about, that, because, look, child care is child care is. Couldn't, you know, there's something, you have to have it – in this country you have to have it. But when you talk about those numbers compared to the kind of numbers that I'm talking about by taxing foreign nations at levels that they're not used to — but they'll get used to it very quickly – and it's not gonna stop them from doing business with us, but they'll have a very substantial tax when they send product into our country. Uh, those numbers are so much bigger than any numbers that we're talking about, including child care, that it's going to take care. We're gonna have - I, I look forward to having no deficits within a fairly short period of time, coupled with, uh, the reductions that I told you about on waste and fraud and all of the other things that are going on in our country, because I have to stay with child care. I want to stay with child care, but those numbers are small relative to the kind of economic numbers that I'm talking about, including growth, but growth also headed up by what the plan is that I just, uh, that I just told you about. We're gonna be taking in trillions of dollars, and as much as child care, uh, is talked about as being expensive, it's, relatively speaking, not very expensive compared to the kind of numbers we'll be taking in. We're going to make this into an incredible country that can afford to take care of its people, and then we'll worry about the rest of the world. Let's help other people, but we're going to take care of our country first. This is about America first. It's about Make America Great Again, we have to do it because right now we're a failing nation, so we'll take care of it. Thank you. Very good question. Thank you. |
That’s what he often sounds like. in terms of public policy he’s knowledgeable about taxes on real estate (how to avoid them), but everything else not so much. Do you think he has a clue about child care costs and how they affect the average American? I would bet money that today is the first day he even considered them. |
Trump probably thinks that foreign governments pay the tariffs to the U.S. treasury and then he can skim some off the top. Or maybe take all of it. He’s salivating at his addled brain’s idea that he personally can gather those tariffs into his little hands. |
