He apparently really believes that foreign governments pay tariffs and now says the tariffs on foreign imports are going to bring in so much money that he can fund everything and still eliminate budget deficits. Seriously. I listened to a bit of that and all I got is that he has no idea how tariffs work. Tariffs = higher prices so how is that helping with childcare problems?

That’s what he often sounds like. in terms of public policy he’s knowledgeable about taxes on real estate (how to avoid them), but everything else not so much. Do you think he has a clue about child care costs and how they affect the average American? I would bet money that today is the first day he even considered them.
