Anyone find out if they got into Arlington Traditional yet

Just curious. I think the lotto is this week. Not sure how long it takes to find out.

The lottery is today. My friend called and they said to call back in 2 hours (about 2 hours ago) to find out their number. She said there are about 250 kids who applied.

I just called and my daughter pulled 215 and is 123 on the waiting list- so we will not be going. Apparently they let in 72 kids and might add another class but that won't help us! Oh well!

We were told we got #2 on the waiting list, so we hope that means we have a good chance. Does anyone know how long those who received spots have to accept or turn it down?

224 applications. First 43 spots taken by VPI/siblings. 72 spaces available unless they add another class (school board decides tomorrow and it sounds likely they will). I was at the lottery today. My kid is #124 and they said they weren't giving out waiting list numbers yet because of the school board decision. So 19:31, if they decide to add another class, sounds like you're in!

Is that 72 in addition to the 43 already taken or including them. My friend got #99 for her son - she assumes he won't get in.

72 total. 43 already taken. So only 29 spots. It sounds like they'll add another class though which will mean another 23 spots. The Arlington Board gave the school board more money than they requested this year. If your friend's son is #99 (vs. 99th on the wait list), he may very well get in.

someone posted last year they had 250+. so it's a 10% drop this year which i think is significant, especially when there may be one more class. not sure what it means or indicates.

I haven't seen the official notice, but the school board adopted its proposed budget on 4/29. And this document shows that the school board made a change to the Superintendent's budget that added a kindergarten class at ATS, Claremont and Key (page 2).

I called today and was told the letters actually only went in the mail yesterday (Monday). She told me we are in. Our letter actually just arrived and we have until May 13th to accept the spot.
