Experience with headfirst Cooking Camp?

Anonymous
MY 10 year old son wants to take a cooking camp. The rest of the summer he is signed up for serious sports and this seems like a good balance.
The only option I have found is Headfirst. I have heard very good things about the other Headfirst camps, but nothing about the cooking one. Its more $$ (395 vs 350) so I'd love some input. Thanks.

Sidwell's ExploreStar program (for grades 6-9) has cooking programs - if your 10 year old is interested in the subject, most likely they would make an exception and allow him to participate even if he is only entering 5th grade. Go to www.sidwell.edu/summer for the explorestar calendar. Different topics/focuses - e.g., Conquer the World with Cooking, Desserts, Desserts, Dessert, Mama Mia (Italian)....

One of my almost 8 yr old son's camps was just cancelled today, so I was looking for another camp, too and saw Headfirst, and I am considering it since he's sampled cooking at another camp last year (Sidwell) and loved it. It may be worth the extra $$$.
