Jeff, we are having lots of this kind of post lately - without the homepage link, just the name of the thing (prom dress, diamond ring) and instinctively most people click on it, I bet! Are those posters from the same person? Or company? From where exactly?

Thanks for pointing that thread out. I hadn't noticed it. You are right that we have been getting a lot of these type of posts. These are all coming from Asia -- this particular one from China. I have blocked huge ranges of addresses from China in an attempt to block these, but they have a lot of addresses. Most of the spam we get is from spambots. No matter how clever a spambot may be, ultimately it is a computer program. I haven't found one yet that I couldn't eventually figure out and find a way to block it. But, these posts appear to be made by humans. They are quite a bit trickier as they don't always do things the same way and, if they are blocked, try again another way. It's sad that their salary requirements are so low that it makes financial sense to someone to pay them to post spam. But, I've removed the thread and will block another big chunk of China.
