Trump says so many reprehensible things so frequently that unfortunately the last horrible thing seems to be forgotten when he says the next horrible thing. Maybe that's partially why he's Teflon Don.

If there is any silver lining to this deplorable behavior that gets quickly forgotten is that his assassination attempt seems to have been completely forgotten also. Just another Trump news cycle.

Just more evidence of his mental decline. He is becoming more confused and less coherent almost daily. The decline since 2023 has been much more pronounced than the decline between 2020 and 2023. There is no way that this man could survive more than a year or two in the White House any more.

Cmon - he'd have said the same thing in 2016 and 2020. It's just back then, we'd have had 400 MAGA bots on here explaining what he REALLY meant and demanding we agree that he was right to say that injured soldiers are suckers and losers and of course it's better to be a rich Trump donor and blah blah blah. And we'd have argued with them about it all day.

Why should he get a pardon for anything? The GOP could have extricated him after each of the two impeachments or at any of the 3 primaries, and didn't. They are stuck with him til he dies.

I sincerely doubt that Biden or Harris would do that. Everyone knows the damage done by Ford’s pardon of Nixon, and the damage done by not punishing the traitors after the Civil War.
