I'm surprised people are still willing to try to educate you on the facts of life. I'd rather you MAGAs find out the hard way what's about to happen. |
Have you ever heard of real estate taxes? I have not seen any exemption for expensive homes. |
|
Seems like the "facts of life" elude you. Econ 101 would be a good starting point for you, not reading more Marx and Engels. |
The saying that you can’t wake a man that is pretending to sleep is relevant here. The MAGAs will come up with any excuse at all to justify the cult and to reject reality. |
When someone says this it’s plain to see that they never got past 101, nor did they take any history or sociology or philosophy. It’s just typical maga ignorance. |
DP. You don’t know what you’re talking about. PP said they’re hoarding real estate. The rich use the strategy buy, borrow, die. They’re leveraged in tax loopholes wrt real estate. |
Exactly. |
I will get a tax cut. I will just save it. I'll put it in my investment account or interest earning savings account. I am not employing more people. It's just more money I don't need. |
Uh, have you heard of SALT deductions and the mortgage interest deduction? Those are not tax benefits for the lower or middle classes. |
I've seen plenty of instances where the wealthy grease palms to get their property taxes reduced, and/orwhere they put real estate and other holdings under their business name or some bogus foundation and get tax deductions. Those scams and tax dodges abound. You'd probably find a few examples of this if Trumps tax returns ever get released. My question to you is to ask if you genuinely didn't know any of this, or if you are trying to help cover for it. |
This. We own two properties - one we live in and one we rent out. We can already deduct the property tax on the rental against the rent we receive. Now we will once again be deducting the property tax on our residence. And our mortgage interest. And our state income tax. And our charitable contributions. Families like us were not the ones who were most in need of a tax cut - but here we are. |
It is absolutely wild to hear middle class people fiercely defend the ultra rich. And so pathetic. If they fought for themselves with half the passion as they fight for people with 6 homes, private planes, and a yacht, our whole country would be better off. |
Seriously. My family is fine, but I have no doubt that I am a lot closer to being homeless than to living like Bezos or Zuckerberg. People seem utterly confused about where they fit in the pecking order. |
Taxes are for little people. If you don’t understand how ultra wealthy avoid taxes, you are too naive for this conversation. |
