Trump's rambling speech today

And the Epstein stuff! And the burying of his wife on his golf tee to avoid taxes (but letting the grave go overgrown), and the creeping on his own daughter, and the mocking of a man with cerebral palsy. And the COVID denialism. And, let's see, oh yeah -- all the Russian asset stuff. Also the election denialism, and trying out the coup business, and the nepotism with his family member. Oh, wait, also the sheeting on the military, especially prisoners of war. And loving on the "very fine people" Nazis. Plus the whole not releasing his tax returns stuff, as well as never coming up with the universal health care plan he promised. Oh! Also not building "the wall." And the tax cuts for the rich, and his obsession with imaginary crowds and their sizes thereof, and of course not paying his bills to small businesses and local governments. Not to mention calling McCain a "loser." And the bleach up the butt thing, and his weird little snide names he calls people, and the kids in cages stuff. And the Sharpie on the map thing, and trying to get Georgia to "find votes." Oh, right, and the classed documents in the crapperhouse bit! ...

Well, when you put it all together like that it starts sounding kind of bad.

"The presidential medal of honor is much greater than the Congressional because you have to be a badly wounded or dead soldier to get the latter. And we all know those guys are suckers and losers."

That’s an incredibly bad clip for Trump.

Not sure he ever talked about groceries. Do you have a quote?

Any point he may have had was undercut by giving the speech at a private country club with a membership fee that costs hundreds of thousands of dollars.

How much have the membership fees at Trump’s clubs increased since 2015? Is that inflation or price gouging or political influence peddling?

Can we talk about this more? Any Trump supporters brave enough to explain or support this view? Why does Trump think so poorly of wounded, captured, or KIA soldiers?

All his ramblings about fields of dead birds because of windmills ... what? And then don't kill a bald eagle because windmills ... huh?

Weird guy.

DP. Here's my small little PSA for the day.

Trump is a dangerous wack job. But there is an issue with windmills killing endangered birds on migration. Certainly not fields of endangered birds like he's claiming, and nobody thinks windmills are wiping out the Bald Eagle. But in combination with the outdoor cats and land development it all adds up.

Still, the windmill people are on it. For example, there are sensors that shut the windmills down temporarily when they detect incoming eagles or whatever. New windmill projects usually need local/state approval to ensure they're not in key migration flight paths, and the bird groups always show up when there's a potential problem.

So Trump can shut up now.

PS. Bald Eagles again. Do you want to know the real problem eagles and raptors face? Lead bullets and lead fishing tackle. Many raptors eat carcasses left behind by hunters, and those carcasses are contaminated by led bullets. Bald Eagles mostly eat fish but they will also scavenge carrion. There have been bills to outlaw lead bullets, but because they're slightly more expensive than (equally effective) alternatives, republicans always vote them down.

Nearly half of Bald Eagles suffer from lead poisoning. Lead is a neurotoxin and it's a horrible death. https://apnews.com/article/science-health-animals-birds-bald-eagles-8aa5cb2aa77fe3d045cd72a724376e3c

And rat poison. RIP Flaco.

It’s actually 100% indefensible. She got the award for political donations. Expect to hear silence from MAGA or “whaddabout…”

To Trump, true patriotism is being a Trump mega donor in exchange for patronage. Anyone who makes sacrifices for their country or family or religion or anything is a sucker.

I especially want to hear from the poster who's going on and on and on about Walz and how he didn't earn his title or whatever. I'm sure there will be some sort of 'what he really meant to say'.

This kinda takes the wind out of the anti-Walz sails.

Those Medal of Honor winners all full of bullets like a bunch of suckers and losers.

None of this is reassuring to me, a lifelong Trump voter with a tattoo of an elephant on my forehead. I was talking to this with my Trump supporter friend in my front yard as they were watering their variegated azaleas, and even though we all agree with absolutely everything he has said until this very day today, now we have to vote for Harris/Walz.

He hasn't said anything different today than he did 4 or 8 years ago, but I am glad the veil has been lifted for you.

It's funny because I was totally down with the racism, and the bigotry, and the worshipping at the idol of lying. And the 34 felony counts, and grabbing women by the [you know], and the creeping on teenage girls in changing rooms. And the Epstein stuff! And the burying of his wife on his golf tee to avoid taxes (but letting the grave go overgrown), and the creeping on his own daughter, and the mocking of a man with cerebral palsy. And the Sharpie on the map thing, and trying to get Georgia to "find votes." Oh, right, and the classed documents in the crapperhouse bit! That was great.

I love all of that, all of it. Can't get enough. But there was something about the azaleas, and the faint scent of summer slowly decaying into the fall, that golden slanted light and the barest chill of coming frost on our limbs, well, we could see that all times will pass, and to each and every thing is its season. Somehow, in some way, we were all magically cursed with the knowledge of god's own apple tree and the inevitability of a Harris/Walz success if this country is to survive.

Oh, well. Could've fooled me.

+1

Thanks for summarizing the idiot.

I don't understand why anybody would take the Trump campaign's word on the "suckers and losers" thing rather than John Kelly's. Maybe after this they'll reconsider. Eh who am I kidding.

This is so weak. The campaign is over. It has zero excitement and only sinks further from here. Just a boring and checked out old man surrounded by grifters cashing checks off what’s left of the movement.
