Best Tip you have ever gotten from DCUM

One of my favorite tips is tracing my kids feet on sturdy cardboard, cutting it out and using that to go shoe shopping. It was a lifesaver for the first 6 years of each of their lives. So much better then dragging them around and trying on shoes. Especially when they had fat toddler feet. It worked great every time and I could make sure they would have enough wiggle room in running shoes and be more fitted in dress shoes.

It's not a dcum tip yet, it was from my aunt, but it seems worthy of this thread.

Not better, easier. I've never been able to use a round brush and dryer but that does give me more lift when someone else does it.

This. I could never get the hang of blow drying my below shoulder hair with a brush and dryer. The reckon thing is used when wet and it takes me 15 min to finish and my arms aren't completely tired

So many cooking tips, I can't count them all.

I got the Revlon dryer/brush thing. Caveats that I've had several round blower-brush tools, and have decent skillz with a regular dryer and round brush. That said, it's pretty good for my longish (past shoulder length), medium thick, super straight hair. Doesn't give me quite as much wave, turned-under ends or body as I would really love, but it's a 95% solution on 50% effort. It does a great job of taming flyaways. Not a bad deal for regular work days.

It's such a great idea, but my cats are assholes and won't use that litter box or litter. I was so sad when I gave up.

Seriously, the Food forum has never steered me wrong. Fashion forum is mostly a lot of pathetic, banal, mean girl garbage, but occasionally you get an extraordinarily incisive and articulate poster who makes it worth checking out on occasion.

And, as a boomer I've learned that life really is hard for some GenXers and Millennials, so I've tried to be more forgiving toward my younger colleagues, though I do wish they'd stop whinging. Didn't your mom ever tell you your face was going to freeze that way? And you're not gonna be able to afford botox.

Pour liquid toilet bowl cleaner in the overflow pipe of the tank. It will reach all the nooks and crannies of the toilet that you do not normally reach.

Elmer's glue on toddlers hands and let it dry. Ask them to peel it off. Keeps them engaged for some time.

PB&J sandwiches dinner in the bath tub when kids are taking a bath, once a week. Sounds gross, but it made some days so much easier when they were little.
