I was genuinely surprised that they live in Arlington.

N Arlington has a decent amount of MAGA for its liberal reputation but it’s not in your face or openly broadcast. 80% to Kamala still means 1 out of 5 people voted for Trump. We know a ton of MAGA Republicans who own homes and are raising families here (and sending them to APS). I’d bet at least a handful of people you assume are Dem are actually MAGA based on the 80/20 split.

Same. Just on one of my kid's sports teams there are maybe 4 families who are not ashamed to say they voted for T and even wear the 45/47 gear. They are mostly UMC people who belong to WCC. They don't really talk about it much anymore though.

Especially that part of Arlington - Country Club Heights (I know this isn't CC Heights) is very old money conservative.

Country Club Hills and it is NOT conservative. Maybe back in the day but not now. Maybe the Millers thought that too.

What does his wife do?

He moved weeks ago, right after the CK assassination. The chalk story is not why they moved but instead from security concerns. I don't blame them. I hear its a more "secure" area closer to DC.

We go to WGCC and we are liberal but most of the conservatives are from old money in CC hills. Just my observation.

Okay but being conservative doesn’t mean anything any more. They just indicted John Bolton, for goodness sake.

100% my parents are members and I grew up in the neighborhood, it's a pretty conservative area. Maybe not the new money 30 year olds whose parents just bought them houses, but the people that have been there 15+ years definitely.

Adding even the “new money” couples in their 30s and early 40s we know there are republicans / conservative (though I think they all bought on their own w/o family $ so maybe that’s a filter for Dem vs R in that area).

There’s a ton in Bluemont too. I think our street is 50/50.

Old money in Bluemont? It's like the poorest part of NA.

I can’t imagine that house wouldn’t smell horrible. You can just tell their hygiene is awful.

They both seem so cranky, it’s distressing to imagine their home life.
