Brilliant is subjective, SAT scores are 1440. Outcomes are decent for the type of school it is.

GT engineering is the real deal and no Ivy comes close. Sure, there are weaker in-state students but is that all bad? And GT has been test required since fall 2022 to there is not test option skewing the stats like at the Ivies.
pre test optional data indicates GT has similar to UVA, still below ivy/stanford/duke by a significant amount
That's some time ago now. For any prospective engineering student, Georgia Tech is very much an elite school.
But it is a public school with certain legally-binding mandates. Like the UCs. Like Texas. Like UNC. Like UVA.
If Georgia Tech didn't have to deal with that, it'd be right up there with MIT and Stanford in engineering.
