FVU aka BRAVE with friends

VDA is only team in playoffs at the moment. BSC will be lucky to finish top 4 in NA, so slow your horses mum. And Arlington? You're kidding right, nobody outside of 2011's leave FVU for that clown show

I guess taking a team to the round of eight in the playoffs isn’t a strong enough performance to retain a coach they’ve had for years. But at least BRAVE has consolidated control of FVU.

I think it was more of short roster to begin with and then injuries throughout than coaching. They had one sub against Arlington this weekend, thats never going to cut it at u16 with the number of short and long term injuries that are part of the game now. They will bounce back next year with age change. 09's will still be bad but look for 10's and 11's to be much better because of player movement.

What a depressing thing to read. Avoidable, preventable injuries are just "part of the game now"?

Please. VDA doesn’t want or need any of your DD FVU 2010s.

Snarky in agreement, you must be awesome on the sidelines. Yes, exaclty thats why no one is leaving, especially if Arlington is the alternative

What’s depressin is you thinking that competitive sports don’t have injuries.

VDA parent here. PP does not speak for all of us. We are happy to welcome the best players from FVU to VDA. I will drive them!

Isn't funny how some people can offer so much advice for a team their child doesn't even play on? These commentors seem so personally invested in this team for not have a player on it. Or even at the club itself.

I'm getting a sneaking suspicion that maybe these posters aren't parents at all. (looks at Bethesda staff)

Enjoying your drive over the river yet?

VDA should be the only 2010 team to make CL from northern VA. BSC may make it but their opening games vs mediocre 09 teams and one 10 GA team was not ground breaking. My gut says they still pull it off. Remember the NA season has not even started. NM will need to make some unpopular moves with his former FVU parents to get his best 11 on the field. Overcome that and they will be fine.

bsc would then get w showcase no? Not a total wash. I can’t see arl being much worse than fvu at this point as a club. In fact they have facilities.

I think FVU is one of the few without facilities and strictly relying on public fields. VDA has a couple Arlington has long bridge even NVA has LSP

speak of the devil. I just love waiting in traffic to get my DD to practice only for it to be dark and cancelled because coach was missing and no one has control of the lights on the field. Only for the 15s to show up and have practice with the lights on. Make it make sense. Im sure parents would have sucked up the extra time if they had merged practices
