Yep. I used to help uninsured people in a deep red state get cancer treatment. Literally had some people refuse to get “Obamacare” even when they needed chemotherapy. Seriously. Even living the consequences of their beliefs is not enough sometimes - but it’s all that left to try, I guess.

It's actually much easier, because if we had all the levers taken away, we can't use any levers to try to mitigate this. No reason to go through anything emotional if the story is already written anyway.

So, what's actually going to happen? Your guess is as good as mine. Trump has a mandate. Dems were stripped of the effective ways to resist that, so now we don't have to resist. Might as well eat popcorn and work in the garden, or take your kids to a movie, or whatever.

This explains my calm this time, thank you. I couldn’t understand why I’m not panicking. America is about to change for generations and not for the better. I am going to suffer and likely die earlier because of it. I just hope my children don’t suffer too.
