Why do uneducated white women support Trump?

Ha! Nice try. Bless your sweet little heart.

It’s true.

Only 37% of Americans have a bachelors degree. Democrats lack common sense because why would they expect the “stupid vote from the basket of garbage deplorables?”

Who are the real deplorables? The ones who attack the majority of the country including their own grandmothers and elders who certainly weren’t Rhodes Scholars?

I find the best wisdom to come from the uneducated whether that’s a 4 year old kid or a 90 year old woman.

The educated people are the ones with the nastiest cores

My grandmother was a lifelong Democrat because she grew up during the Great Depression. People have simply forgotten what social policies can do for them, take social security and Medicare for granted.

And speaking of nasty educated people, Trump and Vance are Ivy graduates.

They are mothers to boys and are tired of hearing about toxic masculinity.

They are struggling to find a car they can afford to replace their existing high mileage car that provides transportation to work for 3 adults.

They need to find a bigger place to live but can't find anything affordable with enough room for the extended family.

Well, now they get higher prices, and will lose the ACA and social security.

Well, ACA is part of what caused the high prices in the first place. See the growth of the HHS budget over the last 10+ years.

Since we borrow or create 55 cents of every dollar fed.gov spends, and thereby devalue our currency, that's why you can't afford a newer car or find a bigger place to live.

Your dollar has become worth less and less. Both parties did it, but it's important to understand the mechanism of what is really happening.

Fun fact: when Social Security first began, there were 140 workers for every retiree kicking in to the fund. Today, there are 3 workers for every retiree.

I own a social media agency, and a couple years back I was researching some brands for market research for a client, a couple of which were parenting brands. While I was digging around, I found they had ties to extreme right wing organizations. And they market to parents, especially moms, by instilling fear that bad things will happen to their kids.

So they start with fairly benign parenting things, but over time get sucked in and next thing you know, there are books bans and everyone is homeschooling because schools are “indoctrination”. Moms go extreme far right because of the anxiety over their children. There’s a reason Trump focuses on trans - convince everyone their kids are going to be brainwashed into mutilating their genitals, and you’re gold.

It was pretty shocking for me to see this. The far right has gotten EXTREMELY good at marketing. There are several pipelines in place, including parenting, health/nutrition (why do you think so many of them sell supplements and Andrew Huberman is on the right wing podcast circuit?), crypto, dating/marriage, holistic/natural, etc. Many of which are female-focused.

And Fox News is one of the most brilliant marketers out there. Even the colors and sound effects they use are designed to put people into a state of fight or flight so they purchase from ads.

And there’s no left wing parenting pipeline?

Given how many parents are allowing their children to choose their gender, I would say their most clearly is.

You are asking why uneducated people support Trump? LOL.

A better question would be why educated white women support Trump.

Uneducated doesn’t mean stupid, it means they didn’t have the financial resources to attend college, or they didn’t want to go to college. Lots and lots of very smart people don’t have a college degree.

You are either going to continue to judge and disparage these people, or connect with them and earn their vote. Your choice.

Anyone under the age of 50 had options for college if they were smart. Yes it might be a couple years of cc, and then on to state college, but Pell grants etc make it viable for most people. Why would they not want to go to college?

Because - wait for it - they have different priorities? Crazy, right? In addition, plenty of college-educated women DID support him, but do continue to use "uneducated women" as your scapegoat.

For college educated white women it was 57% for Harris and the rest were Trump or other candidates.

Yes, I'm aware. That's still plenty of college-educated women for Trump.

And half of that "57%" are lying and really voted for Trump, but the polls were wrong wrong wrong.

Educated white women also voted for trump. Trump got 3-4 MILLION MORE VOTES than Kamala. Get over it.

See, this is the rhetoric the alt right uses to suck parents in.

Books are dangerous, schools are propaganda, vaccines cause autism, kids who go to daycare are traumatized, middle school girls are becoming boys, grown men will go into bathrooms and defile your girls.

When the data shows a completely different story. For example, about 1.4% of kids in the US identify as trans - which is actually on the lower end of the global range of 1.2-2.2%.

But making moms anxious about their kids is a great way to suck them in.

However I am hopeful. I was raised in an alt right evangelical family and it made all my siblings go far left. Love my family of origin but we all realize how insane they all are.

They are part of the clinging deplorable garbage group along with Latino men and women, Native Americans, and African American men.

Speak for yourself.

My kid attended one of the most selective preschools in DC at age 3. The school required children to be fully potty trained to attend. All of the kids who attended daycare before preschool were not fully trained and had accidents in class for weeks even though their daycare providers indicated otherwise on their applications. The kids who had nannies or family care were all fully trained on Day 1.

A better question would be why educated white women supported Harris. Are they not smart enough to see that she is not suitable to the job and is hampering other women who could do the job.

So moms should stay home because *checks notes* potty training.

Or maybe, just maybeee....the daycare system needs reform, which Democrats have been pushing for for years.
