Pacers also has a 10% high school athlete discount. |
Where do you live? If in MD, go to R and J’s in Rockville. They’ll fit your kid. Great service. Best store for runners. |
I just had a great experience at Pacers in Georgetown getting my middle schooler fitted for his first pair for cross country. |
Another vote for Potomac River Running where an associate took a 3d scan of DS's feet and had him run on a treadmill with the new shoes to ensure a proper fit. The associate even gave DS some helpful tips. There is no charge for the fitting. It was actually cheaper to go there than buy online or a big store because the associate gave us tips on what type of shoes to get (the shoes were the same price at Potomac as online then cheaper because they had a student discount). Highly recommend that business! |
Teen DD got her stride analyzed and the store actually recommended brooks. She has pronation and flat feet, the right shoes and insoles have been life saving. She no longer gets calf pain and foot pain after runs standing 90 mins for a violin lesson. |
Where did you go? |
Their service has eroded. Don’t go there |
ASICS Brooks mizuno tier 1. All have various models for all types of strides Adidas And Saucony 1 tier below Weird brands like ON and Altra and hoka next Then Nike and new balance and sketchers. Crap product stay away from these |
Go to a running store to get fitted. There are different types within the brands, you can’t always tell what will feel good by brand.
Road runner sports, fleet feet and Potomac River runners have all been good. Track is really a relatively inexpensive sport, you essentially just buy good shoes each season. |
