Running in rain?

Anonymous
After my high school cross country and track days I swore I’d never run in the rain again. I have gotten caught in the rain while already out running but if possible I just run on the treadmill instead.

I know, a blessing in disguise for me. Now I have some time to get good socks. I still did my run outside today! - op

I don't. I'm basic and like to listen to music on my phone, so no water for me.

I love running in a gentle rain!

Running in a light rain in the summer feels great. Pouring, no.

You're a wimp.

Seriously, I can't believe so many people back out of running in the rain. So you get a little wet - so what? What are you afraid of? It wasn't even very heavy 1-2 hours ago, and there were so few people compared to normal.

Soaking my shoes. Running in wet shoes is awful. Not worth it.

You may not know this, but your shoes will dry out. Once wet, they will not stay wet.

I’ve been caught in heavy rain a few times over the years. My shoes are never the same once they’ve been drenched.

I'm referring to running in wet shoes, not once I'm home.

I’ll run in a light sprinkle, but nothing more. Unless I’m already out and I get caught in it. Then I’ll finish my run.

I don’t mind it. Baseball cap, light clothing, it is fine. I much rather run in rain in summer than winter. 38 and raining - not fun.
