I'm about to spend the weekend killing poison ivy too, but my concern is my surrounding, beautiful plants. Actually the poison ivy itself looks like a pretty ground cover. I didn't even realize what it was until last night.
I'm going with the pull method, and then painting any roots I cannot get with poison ivy killer. Only painting them, no spray. Also, immediately wash (even though you are fully gloved) with poison ivy soap. I use Tecnu, but there are other brands. https://www.amazon.com/Original-Outdoor-Cleanser-Poison-Treatment/dp/B000A7S3WK/ref=asc_df_B000A7S3WK/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312031441581&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12454643482012425762&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9007798&hvtargid=pla-569433287694&psc=1 Good luck to us. |
