OP

Vans shoes, not shirts.
Vineyard Vines no.
Abercrombie no, Hollister no.

Her age group Urban Outfitters, Target (mix in a few tops) , Madewell, and Nordstrom should have options for her. Stylist is a great idea, kudos to you. Good mom!

+1 for the flowy boho dresses. Anthropologie has tons of different styles and lengths, in prints and solids.

Maybe a short, loose tunic dress with sandals or sneakers might feel young and stylish, but still cover the brace? It would also be cooler in the summer.

REI and Title IX each have some nice looser dress options too that would be great for warmer weather and are casual and functional for a teen too.

Have you looked online at some of the blogs by kids with braces or parents of kids with braces? My son has a scoliosis brace so I’ve come across some of them and seen various fashion suggestions for girls.

I would think summer is much harder for concealing it because volume ams done bulk are helpful. Unfortunately, my DS basically won’t wear his brace during the day because he finds it too uncomfortable so this hasn’t been an issue (fortunately he seems to be almost done growing) but if he had to go back to school with it I was planning on looking into accommodations for him, changing for PE, 2 sets of books since he couldn’t walk home with such a heavy bag, etc...

PP, that should have read “volume and bulk.” I think print tops would also help with concealing it and anything you can do to layer.
