We are smoking hot.

Wow ok. I need to start driving there to walk my dogs from time to time.

Lots of older smokers in that neighborhood. Not so sure about the "hot' part.

I’m OP. I guess the neighborhood does still provoke strong reactions in some people. I thought those days were over. Have a good day!

NP. It’s funny because I saw this thread title and immediately thought, “wow this OP is a brave person. They’re about to get skewered.”

I remember you town was looted and residents were burned at the stake during the DCUM Pimmit Hills Witch Hunt of 2015 in the RE forum.

Most of the older original residents are gone. We are skewing very young these days. And hot.

Hi, I'm OP and a veteran of the 2015 Witch Hunt. It was a particularly petty battle, but I love this neighborhood and will not be deterred.

Is the plaza with the Trader Joe's and the post office walkable from the neighborhood? Did the Peet's remain open? I haven't been there in a while.

Wishing you continued property value appreciation.

Hi, I'm OP. Anything is walkable if you are motivated enough! But seriously, that plaza is certainly walkable from most of the area for most people. I walk there regularly and I'm smack dab in the center of the neighborhood. Peet's closed, but there is a Java Loco there now that has coffee, tea and fabulous boba drinks as well as sandwiches.

And thank you, we originally bought here because it was all we could afford. And now...whoa! We feel extremely lucky.

Peet's was replaced by Java Loco during the pandemic and the post office is long gone. It's easily walkable from most of the neighborhood. Plus, they added a trail next to Westgate Elementary school that goes to the new development around the McLean metro station. It's a bit of a hike from the middle of Pimmit Hills (~1.5 miles), but I've walked to Wegmans several times using it.

I guess you mistyped “h” above. It should have been “p” ?

What are your thoughts about developments near Mclean Metro (new hotel, waking trails, townhomes, condo)?

What kind of hot are we talking? Like bimbo type hot or sweet / cute girl next door hot? Need to know.

Thx
