Thanks from OP. I have never loved anything from Baked & Wired but so many cupcake recs maybe the cupcakes will convert me. I am meh on Georgetown Cupcake. I wish Alexandria was closer to me, would love to someday try Buzz etc.

| Red Velvet cupcakery in Chevy Chase (formerly also by Verizon Center and in Reston Town Center). The best. I miss being able to stop by every weekend when they were out in VA. |

No. You're doing it wrong. Box mixes are very good cakes. |

Baked & Wired cupcakes are good, but heavy... like a muffin is how I would describe them, maybe because they are also less sweet. Georgetown is more classic indulgence cupcake — light and with sweet buttercream. |

| My favorite cupcakes are from Sweetly Anchored in Cabin John mall. I’m not a fan of heavy buttercream frosting and theirs is more like Swiss meringue. Also only doing custom orders though. |
