ear plugs for sleeping recommendation

The soft ear plugs work ok but will NEVER drown out snoring. Sleeping on the couch or in a separate room is your only solution if you need to be able to hear your kids.

I've paid a lot of money fro two different types of noise canceling or noise masking technology. I know you probably can't use either one of these for now, but I am posting anyway in case others could use the help.

Quiet On does work. It's not perfect but you will notice a MARKED difference in the level of noise you hear from your husband's snoring. The drawback to me was that they really are not comfortable. particularly if you are a side sleeper. They definitely start to dig into the flesh of your ears overnight.

I have had these for about a week and they are a MIRACLE. I have only used them on the "warm static" setting and it completely masks my husband's snoring, noise from the street etc. I tested it out and can still hear a fire alarm, but that's about it. Even if my husband is watching TV in bed I can barely hear it. They're very comfortable. Pricey? Yes. But worth every penny. I havent slept this well in years.

Thank you! Why do you think I can’t use it now? Maybe Because I want to hear my kids? Actually I have no problem if my husband can hear them. I mentioned that because with the white noise app I put on even my husband can’t hear the kids.

I saw the Bose earbuds when I googled earlier , glad to know u like them. I am definitely interested. How does it work? Can I use it as a regular earphones ?

The Bose earbuds don't work for anything other than sleep so you cant use them as headphones. The way I understand it, in order to make them small enough to be comfortable they can only play recorded sound that you actually have to transfer onto the ear buds themselves. I highly recommend "warm static" as it doesnt really sound like anything (they have a pretty extensive library of white noise sounds like rolling waves, rain on a rooftop etc).

You can go waaaay down the rabbit hole of options here OP.

You can also buy a variety pack that lets you try different sizes, shapes, materials, level of soundblocking versus softness, etc... I did that and settled on Nazcar sparkplugs as my favorite and have sworn by them for more than a decade now.
