Bosch versus Kitchen Aid

I have Bosch ovens and refrigerator. Both have had major problems and I would never buy another Bosch appliance again. I have had Kitchenaid appliances in the past and never had any problems.

I love my Bosch dishwasher and it has never had any problems. It’s whisper quiet and I adore the 30 minute cycle.

We have a kitchenaid dishwasher on order. I like the more functional 3rd rack compared to the other brands that have 3rd racks that can only handle utensils.

Our Bosch dishwasher is the bees knees. Almost silent. Had it for 6 years so far. We have a Kitchenaid counter depth fridge that is fine. Keeps the food cold and has also been working for 6 years.

We recently bought a Bosch range and LOVE it. Much better design than all the KA and GE/Cafe we saw, for example there is more space between burners so the pots don’t bump against each other. We also have Bosch DW that works great.

My plan was to buy a Bosch but I just ordered a Kitchen Aid through Costco. I got a really great deal plus the free haul away and extra year warranty. Hard to resist. Plus I checked the reviews on Costco, HD, and Lowes, and they are all really good.

I'm not at all impressed with my new Bosch dishwasher. I have the 800 series top control model. It does not turn itself off when finished, it does only OK with cleaning, it does not dry as well as advertised. It is subject to frequent error codes an needs to be reset, I would not purchase it again.

Don’t get a KA fridge. I bought one, it never worked from day one and it took a lawsuit threat and social media campaign to get them to replace it. All the handles get loose. There is a 2 inch gap behind th shelves where food falls back.

Have high end appliances in my kitchen which we renovated 5 years ago. Had the Bosch DW and after about 4 years, had it repaired for $300- broke again and got rid of it, got a kitchen aid and it cleans much, much better. It also has a lot more capacity- I couldn't fit my wine glasses in the upper rack with the little silverware rack above it in the Bosch (so I removed the silverware rack). With the kitchen aid I can easily keep all 3 racks in and put my wine glasses in the glass rack.
