I’m happy for those who’ve been able to get it. It’s a shame the distribution and scheduling can’t be done more smoothly. I assume all are doing what they can but it is going to take a long time to get us all in at this rate. |
I’ll be okay if school opens back in august |
Anyone else worried with hoe chaotic this is the 2nd shot will get delayed, thus lowering the effectiveness of the vaccine? UK is doing this and the pharmaceuticals are sounding the alarm bells saying this is a huge public health mistake.
TBH, I don't think we (school staff) should be getting this vaccine until there is a clear plan to open school and everyone else who has been at work during this pandemic and older folks get vaccinated first. |
They told me when I went yesterday that those needing second shots will be emailed when it is their time and we do not need to sign ourselves up for shot 2 like we did for shot 1. I think there is a pretty clear plan that hybrid/concurrent folks will be heading back in as soon as PPR is below 10% and that could be sometime in March. So I'm thankful for the vaccine. |
If they want staff in when the PCR drops they need to be working to get us all vaccinated by then |
They are working to do that. What do you want them to do? Make vaccines appear out of thin air? The people vaccinated this week will get shot 2 around Feb. 15-17. The people who get shot 1 a couple of weeks from now will get shot 2 the week of March 1. Everyone should be good to go by mid-late March. |
Fascinating. Even Ziegler doesn’t have firm timelines on when they get more vaccines or can schedule everyone and is telling us to exercise patience and lean into discomfort and here you are with firm dates. |
