I tip the cost of one session (or the average if it varies). When I had a 2-person cleaning crew that charged me $200, I handed each person $100 in a holiday card. Now I have one cleaner who charges me $300 so she will get the entire amount. I do not tip or give gifts the rest of the year. |
I would tip $125 each. |
What about a cleaning person who comes maybe 3 times a year. I occasionally use two women to clean my house (I pay more than I would if they came regularly think $200 vs 120). I have them coming tomorrow. What should I tip? I was thinking $50? |
I give an extra week’s pay plus a paid week off. At some point in the summer we also give a paid week off. |
Definitely tip them about extra cleanings pay - the full amount. Or don't, and they'll go elsewhere because you are cheap. Not intended to be a dig, but good housekeepers (good cleaners, trustworthy in your home, don't break things, etc) are hard to find. |
We tip weekly, so only double that tip at Christmas. It winds up being much more than a single cleaning overall (almost 3x). |
That's perfectly fine. |
+1. Tip each person directly so have $25 for each. I have seen one person pocket the whole amount and not share it. |
You tip the same people every week or is it a different person/crew? |
We tip generously twice a year.
Don't be cheap, folks! Cleaners touch everything you own and keep you from having to clean your own toilets. |
Same people. |
