Best way to send money from US to England

Transferwise. Now that I have sent money to Europe almost 50 times, it gets there within minutes.

This is the OP. After trying and failing to order a Visa gift card from Amazon.co.uk or any other UK site I gave up. It shouldnt be as hard as it is.
I sent an Amazon card.

Will check into transferwise for next time though.

You're a thoughtful Godparent, OP, but I urge you to continue giving small presents for the next few years. 18 year olds are rarely physically or psychological independent. My Godmother stopped slipping me bills when I got married! And now she gives French chocolates to my kids whenever I bring them to Paris. The Godparent thing, like the parent thing, never really stops...
