Why would one club provide insurance for a player who plays in another club's event? |
So guest playing at other clubs is not allowed by a player's current club? |

Hence, my question if it is normal to ask a team manager if they can give me the player card in order to play the tournament. |
Not true |
I have to get approval from my DOC. Team manager has not been involved whether big club or small club. |
| If you are carded through another organization (US Club), you can ask the club you are guesting at to help you with MSYSA to get a USYS tournament card. If I remember it is about 20 bucks or so. |
