+1. A lot of college kids don’t vote because voting when you don’t live at home is complicated and a hassle. But most will vote if you make it easier. Helping college kids at a huge school like Ohio State or Penn State navigate changing voter registration from a solid red/blue state or vote early absentee if they are Ohio residents not living at home could bank 10,000 extra votes for Biden. Even a small school like Oberlin that is liberal and pulls kids primarily from the DMV, Boston, CA, Chicago could bring 1000 plus Biden voters into Ohio. Or target UGA, GT, (I guess not UNC), and get a two-fer because there are flippable Senate seats. |

Thanks all
I am giving to start to this organization https://www.whenweallvote.org/ (Nonprofit) And to the PA state Democratic Party. Would love to hear more about PA or FL specific organizations looking to get out the student vote. Note those are also important in moneyball type legislative races. |
Thanks for this idea. |

The Senate. If Democrats flip the Senate and retain control of the House, they can stop the GOP’s electoral college shenanigans on January 6. The House and Senate can together decide which slate of Electoral College delegates to accept for each state, if there are competing slates. The combined chamber can toss out entire slates.
Focus on donating to Dem Senate candidates who need cash: 1. Warnock (GA) in the “jungle primary”. He desperately needs cash. Has $2m on hand vs. $7m for Loeffler 2. Ossoff (GA) has $2.5m vs $10m for Perdue 3. Espy (MS) has only $680K (!!!) vs $1.2m for the incumbent. This is the cheapest place to pick up a seat in the Senate! If Espy could haul in $3-4m, he’d swamp the air waves. Cheap media in MS. 4. Greenfield (IA) has $5.6m vs Ernst has $9.1m.t Bullock (MT), Bollier (KS), and Cunningham (NC) are all doing well in the money game. Of course, could always use more. For now, Stop giving to Gideon (ME), Harrison (SC), Kelly (AZ), and McGrath (KY). They have so much cash. |
Not true. You get someone to vote for a local or state candidate, they will vote for Pres. Lots of research that supporting local goes upvote. OP, only give directly to candidates unless you want to be paying for someone’s salary. Good places to give https://votesaveamerica.com/donate/ |
Not OP but thank you! Will give you Warnock! Lieberman is running spoiler campaign. What a jerk. |
| Op here. Thanks for the great suggestions. I have also now given to “Every Last Vote” (thanks for the votesaveAmerica.com link where this was) and also did give to Teresa Greenfield. I appreciate the notes about who needs the money, although will continue to focus on national politics. |

I wrote in a thread I started:
I have bee phone banking this week for PA, AZ and TX. I am spending my free time surfing a little less of DCUM, but to call undecided voters. If you are feeling anxious, please consider phone banking in crucial states. Here is a place you can sign up: https://indivisible.org/events |
| I’m a Democrat and my husband is a Republican so we have never contributed to campaigns for obvious marital peace reasons. This year my husband will vote for Biden and when I said I think we should contribute to candidates he said “I’m fine if we contribute $20,000 but where it goes is up to you.” There are some very nice republicans. |
Making up for lost time
Enjoy the spending spree. |
A Democratic controlled Senate can remove the POtUS should he succeed in getting the election called in his favor by the SCOTUS. Don't give more money to Biden. He has plenty. Give money to Senate races. When Democrats control both houses, they can do a lot to stop the corrupt GOP. These are good races to donate to: Cal Cunningham NC (vs Thom Tillis) Jaime Harrison SC (vs Lindsay Graham) Mark Kelly Arizona (vs Martha McSally) Sara Gideon Maine (vs Susan Collins) Amy McGrath Kentucky (vs Moscow McTurtle) John Hickenlooper Colorado (vs Cory Gardener) Amy McGrath may not be able to defeat McTurtle, but I want her to have a fighting chance, and a big war chest gives her power and stature. |
You need 2/3 of the Senate to remove. But a Dem majority Senate could provide for a long trial should there be another impeachment. |
Finally donating for this election cycle. Just gave $50 to each of these four. Thanks for inspiration! |
TurnPABlue.org does great work supporting state candidates and they only have a handful of paid staff so your contribution goes straight to candidate support. Right now they are pushing out texts to get folks to remember - No Naked Ballots. I think your dollars go farther with grassroots groups. |
| How do you decide whether to give one chunk to Biden/ Harris or split among debate races? |
