Another option is talk to them until they die then cook.

Or read them the DCUM forum threads. Who knew lobsters could kill themselves?

Come on people. It takes only a moment to kill them humanely before dropping them in boiling water. Golden rule.

If you're going to kill them in order to eat them, it's better to minimize suffering.

Boiling lobsters alive has been outlawed in the United States since at least 1999.

It may be more gruesome for YOU to split the head in half before boiling, but it's kinder for the lobster to do so. Refusing to do so is lazy and makes you sick with no compassion.

Do lions make sure they humanely kill their prey before they rip them to shreds? We are animals. Eat to survive. I don't lose sleep over it.
the do actually. They go for the jugular. Doesn’t happen everytime and I’m sure there are nature shows showing otherwise. But wild animals do not intentionally torture their prey. They go for the neck/jugular for a quick kill so they can eat.,

That's not universally accurate. Have you never had a cat? They enjoy the hunt.

And raccoons, those cute little things, kill for fun. They will enter a chicken house and rip the heads off an entire flock, not eating anything. Monsters!
