11:41 poster here -- I suppose it is possible they only got a portion out Friday and will send the rest Monday. Who knows. And no need to be sorry -- we were wait listed at NCRC but also found out today that got into our first choice school! Good luck to everyone!

Got ours today - 3.5 year old boy special needs - waitlisted. Very upset. I would love to know what the history of the wait list might be because we have no other options for him.

We got waitlisted as well--2.5 yr old. Wonder if anyone is rejected outright. Seems like a lot of waitlisted kids.

nope, it was Little Folks, earlier in the week. (We didn't apply to SFF, although I think it is awesome and people we know with kids there love it!)

We are considering Little Folks - and got waitlisted today at NCRC. My child just turned three and I'm a little worried that she will be the oldest in the class and bored if I leave her there for two years, until K.

What do you think?

Well, we went into the process thinking that we wanted NCRC, but after the playdates we (and our kid) had totally gone over to LF--we like how mellow it seems to be, for one thing, while still being kid-centered and thoughtful. Also, Gay seemed to really "get" our kid. Hard to know about the age thing, though--I think it would be a great question to ask current LF parents. We're certainly hoping to stay the two years--she'll be 3 in August.

At least the "waiting pool" letter was really nice! Does anyone know if it ever moves? Also, does anyone know anything about the move to Glen Echo while the construction is completed? When are for how long?

Sorry, PP here. I wrote my post too quickly. I meant to ask if the waiting list ever moves at NCRC.

Separately I was wondering about how long students would be displaced for the construction.

I don't know about the waitiing list moving. It seems like everyone got waitlisted on this forum. There was one person who responded that they got their acceptance letter on Thursday for a morning (prime) slot. Not sure if this was for real (as no one else seemed to get letters that day) or if they were high profile.

For any of you, was this the second time applying? And did you have anyone advocating on your behalf? Just curious.
