Katy should have money from her success but as far as her singing career she hasn't had a hit in about a decade. So as a pop star, yes she is washed up. She's VERY lucky the Idol deal came to her.

I really liked her music in her prime and thought she was super fun. Now she's like someone's drunk aunt at a party embarrassing herself trying to look cool and hip. Having said that, congrats to her on landing Orlando. He's easy on the eyes for sure.
