PP, I think the news is good for the region, but I actually agree with you re: service industry and middle class. I wish DC would simultaneously invest in more affordable housing, and 3br apartments/condos for families.

PP. I think growth may be slowing in some areas of MD, but nowhere do I see evidence that MD is actually getting "cheaper" than it is now. Prices are not falling, but perhaps just increasing at a slower pace than some areas of NoVa.
