No free time in the AM- they get enough after school. Kids are 8&10. We lay out clothes the night before.

An hour earlier.

I break up the morning into increments:

Up at 7:20, eating breakfast by 7:30, breakfast done by 8, dressed by 8:15, out the door 8:20.

We get up 1 hour before we need to leave the house. DS likes his down time in the morning, which is tv with me on the couch.

Not OP, but my prince georges school starts at 7:45.

My kid has a scenic 55 minute bus ride (and the school is 2 miles from our house). She needs at least 40 minutes but that does feel rushed to me.

Is there any way you can drive her, if it's 2 miles from your house?

I always find these types of suggestions odd. It’s not as if this poster never would have thought of driving, right? For whatever reason, that’s not what they decided upon.

We live in AZ. School is 8-3. Tardy at 7:55. Their bus usually arrives at school at 7:40.

6:30 or 6:45 should be early enough.

We can eat and get ready in half an hour.

We leave the house at 7:10 and my daughter gets up at about 6:45. Brush teeth, brush hair, dress (uniform), breakfast, out the door.

What a colossal waste of resources
Walk/bike zone really should be significantly extended.

Sorry, just thought I'd ask. Sometimes it takes a stranger to state the obvious.
