Pick up truck in nova/dc

I have an old Dodge Dakota Quad Cab that I keep holding onto because I like the size. Yes, the bed is 5' 3". That's a little short. If you drop the tailgate though you can haul around 8' lumber. Yes, the turning radius is terrible. However, it can get into parking garages since it doesn't ride that high.

Ford is bringing back the Ranger so I guess we will see what that is like.

I can't bring myself to buy a Toyota.

The Ranger is priced like a Tacoma, but without any of the Toyota reputation or build quality.

How does Ford think that’s going to work out for them? I don’t think they’ll be selling many unless they cut the price dramatically.

All the small trucks are priced the same as a full size truck. It's claimed there is less demand.

As for quality, it's hard to estimate what the Ranger will be like.

Close in parking lots in this area have tiny spaces and narrow lanes. Even if you can wedge your truck into the spaces, people next to you can’t open their doors or can’t get wide enough out in the Kane to turn into a space if your trick tail is sticking out.. If you’re commuting into Crystal City, get a beater car for the commute and use your truck on weekends.

My Dakota is narrower than my other car. About 2". And yes, the other car is low class.
