My lab partner / rescue dog is really pulling more than her weight in Death Farts. I buy the supplies and she does the rest.

So very sorry about Widowhood.
Teen angst there with you .

I'm majoring in Psychology (everyone I deal with seems cray cray, including myself) with a minor in Nursing.

I’m sorry so many of you have such difficult majors. I keep thinking once I complete my coursework in life with small children that things will get easier, but it sounds like graduate level coursework in teens, ailing spouses, and aging parents is even more challenging.

I hope you all at least get to take a few fun electives and field trips in 2019.

OP, you are amazing.

I am a lowly plebe compared to all of you wonderful ladies who are dealing with so, so much and with what appears to be an awful lot of humor despite everything.

I am majoring in Peri-Menopause. It is so.much.fun!

Course requires strange weight gain (esp in stomach and people asking me if I am pregnant aside from the fact that I am way-too-old), facial hair, dry hair on head, odd moods, spottiness, constant fatigue and crying due to puppies, Hallmark movies, inspirational quotes that are particularly moving, etc!

Minoring in - so many doctor's appointments I cannot keep track of, transitional lenses (!), medication I do not want to be on and the conundrum of who to name as an emergency contact at all of these doc appointments since I am on my own.

Also allergies. Sniff.

My tuition is paid by yours truly and yours truly alone. It's kind of a lot of tuition. There is no chance whatsoever of financial aid or student loans, unfortunately. Professor recommends to KEEP ON MOVING FORWARD AND SMILING!

Electives include: Dealing with the loss of several friends who have recently gone on to glory with no warning, realizing I am not a super hero and trying to re-invent myself in peri-post middle age. With facial hair.

This is nothing compared to the "courses" you all have listed above but it made me feel better to vent and thanks again, OP for starting this!

I don't remember signing up for Death of a Parent 101, but I passed the class despite the absentee teacher. I did not recommend it to my roommate (DH) but he took it anyway.

This semester is Make Your Teen Study, taken concurrently with a 12-month SAT Prep course and the stakes are sky-high.

Electives include Joint Pain: When That Pop in Your Shoulder Means Surgery and Mid-Life Skin: Dry is the New Normal.

If only I could take advantage of 50-cent pitcher night at the Crown & Anchor Pub, but a student my age can no longer tolerate the carbs or the alcohol.

Major: depressed sometimes suicidal DH; navigating toddlerhood and careers. Aging parents. This major should have a prerequisite of trust fund!!

Majoring in Aggressive Stage Breast Cancer with High Likelihood for Progression to Stage IV. Minoring in Hospice Care of Elderly Father with Anxious Mother On Standby. Electives include Young Adult Children with Anxiety Disorders, Dogs with Aggression Issues, Major Ongoing Home Renovation, and Selling Your Business in A Few Easy Steps.

Can’t wait until summer break!!

And also: love you, OP!

I am majoring in If one more thing goes wrong we are *ass out. The prerequisites were SN kiddo whose care makes it nearly impossible to work a full week, husband job loss, dementia mom, and roommate spouses.
I keep trying to get in some cool electives like letting things go, living in the moment, and famous stories of sh*t working out. However- the class times conflict with my commute & other responsibilities.

I got my masters in Special Ed Parental Advocacy- just as my DC graduated from HS. You learn on the job and when you finally figure it all out, you are done. I have done Hospice 101 and 102. For me 101 was with a surviving spouse in their home and 102 was in our own home. IME Hospice is skeletal and mostly home work. We are now working on Retirement Planning 103- Where to Live.

Majoring in Independent Studies: Divorcing a Bipolar while Parenting a Newly-Diagnosed SN Child.

Double minoring in Chronic Disease and Aging Canine Medical Issues.

My honors thesis is “Inconvenient timing for a promotion: Running an office when your life is blowing up”

Thank you. This reminds me I’m not alone.

It’s been a rough week.

Should have gone abroad this semester. But the fin aid wasn't there, the credits don't transfer and all the work is still waiting, maybe worse...

I have a double major: How to Walk on Eggshells with a Moody Business Partner and Constant Low Level Parental Anxiety. My elective this year is Tweens and Chores. Thank God it’s only Pass/Fail.

My husband wants me to take an elective in Sexy Lingerie but I reminded him the prerequisite were the courses “Picking Up Your Shit” and “She’s Not Your Mom”.
