| Did the Sanofi Pasteur brands have pink somewhere on the vial? If so, then it WAS the thim-free dose (this is how they're described, as having pink on them). |

Personally, I didn't get the chance to pay much attention as I had to hold my daughter down for the vaccine, and she was much stronger than I anticipated. However, from what I have read, there is a pink plunger on the single use syringes and not necessarily any pink designation on the single use vials.
I remember what the writing looked like on the vials they used on my kids, and I remember that they were tiny (maybe 1" tall at the most). This document states the varieties available from sanofi-pasteur http://www.fda.gov/downloads/BiologicsBloodVaccines/Vaccines/ApprovedProducts/UCM182404.pdf |

...and now after reading the document I just posted about, I realized that the single dose vials are meant for children 36 months and up (which mine are), but I am now wondering if the pp meant that her 16 month old received the single dose syringe.
(although I suppose the nurse could have just drawn up .25 ml from a .5 ml vial) Hopefully she will come back and clarify. |
