At what age did your MCPS student start taking tests?

Real tests or quizzes - 6th Grade - in everything, frequently!

Middle school. Had a few tests in 6th and now in 7th tests are a regular thing.

Yikes, my 5th grader has been taking real tests since 4th grade, including science, vocabulary, social studies. She even had to memorize the state capitals for a test in 4th grade. Often gets study guides. This is a Catholic parochial. Guess we made the right choice moving to private.

K now has MAP and the annual May standardized test (whatever they announce is replacing PARCC).

Incredible that this is noteworthy. I would consider this the bare minimum of what a teacher is supposed to do. What a pathetic state of affairs.

It truly is.

Prior to 2.0 my DC had spelling tests in 1st grade and math tests in 1st grade on.

My youngest post 2.0? In 4th grade and has had ZERO tests or quizzes. It is so pathetic.
