Play-Doh is fine--my almost 7yo still enjoys it--but I do think the average 6yo has moved past Paw Patrol/Octoanuts/PJ Masks and squarely into Ninjago (ugh!), Lego, Star Wars, superheroes, etc. So it may depend on the theme of the party--the Play-Doh on its own won't be babyish, but if it's a themed set of something many kids have outgrown, then it could be iffy.
My child loves the Star Wars, superhero, and especially the food sets, though--he would be excited to find one of those in a goody bag. |
The theme is minions. |

Mine might, but honestly we have so much of it I really don't want any more. Its a good idea but those things get put away/donated and not used. |

I LOVE the smell. |
Ours do.

Yes but he has a younger brother. They enjoy it together and use it as part of other games like making me "food" in restaurant.
Agree with PPs that it's a mess but oh well. |
I mean most things in goody bags are not items that parents "want"... |
It’s fine….anything squishy….sensory…. |
My seven year old loves it! |
OP’s kid is probably 12 now. Why did we revive this? |
If you want to give a creative thing like that, you could try an "older version" of playdough:
modeling clay. iT comes in lots of different colors and is fun, but a bit harder to use so is really good for their fine motor (not that you'd tell the kids that!) |
