No. This year only 1-3 OOB kids w/ sibs got in for PK3. L-T has been getting more competitive each year. There is a chance your 2nd kid could get in for PK3, but 100%? No, closer to 0% than 100%.

Thank you PPs! The truth hurts! How about for 2nd and PK4?

100% of PK4ers w/ sibs got spots last year, but only after WL movement and only just barely by the start of the year. Will that still be true in 2 years? Unlikely, if I had to guess. Still, it looks like you'd have a very good shot even if not 100%.

Also, sometimes OOB kids do enroll at some point in the year but they might be early placements (spec ed). The numbers don't always tell the full story.

any OOB with proximity preference get in?

Just look at the links earlier in this thread for specific questions like this.

any chance OOB to get into LT?

At the open house the principal made it seem highly likely.

I went to an open house and they indicated that all IB and some oob would get in.

We were offered a PK4 spot in September this year and decided not to take it. We liked the ECE program at LT, but it is absolutely comparable to our IB school. In particular, we were very turned off by the aftercare situation. We stayed at our IB school and remain very happy. I’m sure LT is great, but the aftercare situation is less than desirable.

TV. Lots of TV.

I'm not sure where you got your information but this really has not been the case for us with Aftercare at Ludlow. It is extremely rare for my PK4 daughter to mention watching tv at LT, and she always mentions it when she does because it's a treat. When I pick up they are usually doing an activity in the classroom or on the playground. And we were in DCPS aftercare at a different Title I school last year where they watched A LOT of tv. The aftercare options at Ludlow include a huge offering of clubs and activities that you can sign up for as well.

I've seen this poster in multiple unrelated threads now bashing aftercare at L-T. (In one thread it was somehow related to a poster not liking immersion.) Clearly they just have a beef.
