I thought peas were starchy?

And the pea allergy is a bad one too.

There is a lot of goodness in a potato. As long as you dont turn it into french fries or cover it with sour cream and bacon bits it is good.
My daughter loves them with a bit of cheese on and it is a super quick dinner in the mocrowave. I usually give her some black beans with it and a tomato ( on days we need a quick dinner)

I dunno...I can put away bags of apples very easily. Same with grapes. Pineapple. You may not get fat on them but if you eat a lot of them (and it's easy!), you won't lose as much.

Like, you can eat 5 apples in one sitting? That's fairly unusual. But yes, if you constantly binge on fruit, you may have to adapt. My guess is there are very few people who actually binge on fruit.

My three kids (all six and under) could lay waste to a large fruit tray in a matter of minutes, so I do have to limit their fruit consumption.

But overall, all veggies are great. I also treat potatoes as a starch, but we eat them plenty and love them! Roasted cruciferous are probably my favorite, but I also love a good butternut squash.

The best way to consume fruits and vegetable is to put them all into a mixer and turn them into smoothies.

on a normal day, I consume 3 apples, 3 bananas, 3 oranges, 25 grapes, 25 blueberries, 10 strawberries, 3 slices of pineapples, 1 avocado, 2 slices of cantaloupes. It takes time to consume all of them. I put them into a blender, add water and turn them into smoothies. take less than 5 minutes to consume them. I eat steam asparagus, broccoli and cauliflower as side dish for lunch and dinner with baked chicken or fish as main course.

Addiction to fruit and veggies is a good thing.

cucumbers (and celery) may be just water, but they fill you up so you don't go and eat a bag of Doritos. they are good veggies in my book. Actually, all veggies are good veggies in my book--it's just if you deep fry them or add more butter to them than they weighed initially, then you have a problem.

Eh. To each her own. I detest smoothies but love all of the fruits and vegetables you list either raw or cooked lightly.

Can't go wrong with greens. They keep much of the nutrients, when steamed for a few minutes or eaten raw. Other veggies can't be digested well when eaten raw, and they must be cooked.

Any time you put heat to the veggie, you release some of the nutritional benfits.

Very very few people are in danger of getting fat from eating too many veggies (potatoes aside).

Potatoes are NOT worthless if prepared in their pure form

Green leafy are the best for you. All others are good too! I consider corn a grain though.

I think Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber are good because they believe in Jesus.

The rest are evil, which is why I don’t feel guilty cooking and eating them.
